Irony.
The very thing you rebel against as a child, you long for as an adult.
Case in point, a child who screams in terror when told to put on pajamas and prepare for bed.
Prepare to be bathed, fed a snack, have your ears gently Q-tipped of any wax, and hair combed, all while you sit quietly sucking your thumb.
Then have a short, bedtime story read to you before you are tucked tightly into your warm, cozy bed where you will drift off to sleep surrounded by the sweet smell of baby shampoo that lingers on your damp hair.
Oh, okay I can totally see where that would be a problem,if you're 4.
As an adult, I appreciate the finer things in life. I realize how nice going to bed early, really is. Too bad it took me so long to catch on.
