When someone famous passes away, it's hard not to feel as if you knew them.
Especially if that person wrote every funny movie line you've ever memorized.
Especially if that person featured the city of Manhattan as a main character in almost every film, and you just can't get enough of every little glimpse of that city.
Especially if that person could you make you laugh at yourself and others.
A person who can affect your life with her writing and wit, can start to feel like a close friend.
